Monthly · After dark · All welcome

Sydney's loudest group ride.

Once a month, after dark, hundreds of riders take over the city for a rolling block party. No racing, no drop, no egos. Just neon lights, big sound and a few hundred new friends.

About Sydney Bike Rave

A party that happens to have wheels.

We're not a club and there's no membership. Roadies, fixie kids, e-bike commuters, everyone's welcome. We ride slow, we ride safe and we share the road with respect. The only thing we take seriously is looking after each other.

Ride etiquette

Six rules. That's it.

01
Stay behind the lead
Never ride ahead of the front marshal. They set the pace and the route.
02
Hold your line
Predictable beats fast. Signal, call hazards, don't swerve.
03
Obey the road
Red means red. We share the streets with cars, pedestrians and the law.
04
Look after each other
See someone stopped? Stop too. We leave nobody behind, ever.
05
Road-legal e-bikes only
Pedal-assist e-bikes up to the NSW limit (250W, cuts out at 25 km/h) are welcome. No throttle-only, high-powered or modded bikes, e-scooters or mopeds. They're not street-legal and not safe in the pack.
06
Safe riders only
Ride within your limits and to the conditions. Marshals ride front, side and back to keep the pack together, so follow their calls and look out for the riders around you.
Lend a hand

Volunteer with us.

Sydney Bike Rave runs entirely on volunteers. If you want to help organise rides or lend a hand on the night, here are the roles we fill for every ride.

DJ
Run the sound that powers the pack. Bring the music, set the vibe and keep everyone moving from roll-out to last dance.
Ride marshals
Ride front, side and back to keep the pack safe and together. Set the pace, call the hazards and look after riders.
Speaker carriers
Carry the speakers that keep the party rolling. A bike that can take a bit of weight helps, and we'll sort the gear.
